Oh, Canada! Day...

No biggie...I am only 3 months behind in blogging with at least 3 major events to blog...ugh...with NO TIME NOW! Babies make you busy! Especially when they won't let you put them down. I am taking this miraculous moment where I could put him down to blog instead of clean. Priorities. I've got them straight. :)

Justin was on call Canada Day and we had lots of fun plans so BOO for call! The kids were so excited to go to the infamous Raymond Parade! And we got to go with Julie and her girls and Robbie and Cammie, and Bama and Papa! So they got up and chowed down on this beauty. I had been working my tail off at this time preparing for our family reunion 32 weeks pregnant and feeling it. Never been pregnant in the summer and probably won't ever do it again! July and beginning of August were our hot months and I was pretty swollen around the reunion time. I've never had cankles or swollen feet, but I got them this time! Not too bad, but my sandals got tight and my tendons went away! Anyway, I love when things just work out. I was lacking motivation and sad Justin wasn't coming with us, but we had A TON of delicious strawberries FROM OUR GARDEN and so I made this beautiful German...I mean Canadian...pancake. :) The kids love getting into any holiday and this is about all I could give at this point. TIRED! Just goes to show things just work out sometimes.

Oh, Canada!!

My Canadians! Some nice people let them sit in front of them.

Our cousin buddies!! Luckily Bama gave ALL the grand kids those Canada shirts for Christmas. We can all be festive!

Oh and a few days before Canada day someone was selling this shirt and skirt for $5 so I grabbed it for Addie. Too cute.

She is a Candy loving Canadian Cutie.

Addie with Anne and Faye. She loves these girls! So fun they are so close. Wish Avery was here Joanie!! 4 girl cousins all within 6 weeks!

After the parade we went to the Dahl Canada Day get together and Great Aunt Carol Dahl's house. We have come to it every year for the last 3 years we've been down here and love going. This year did not disappoint. I just wish Justin could have come!

Does it get any cuter?!

Yes, yes it does.

One of my All-Time favorite pictures of Addie. :) I love the pigtails, the cute skirt, the smiley eyes, the gum in the side of her mouth...just makes me happy.

And cute girls with cute little kittens?!?!? I always see free kittens on the Cardston Swap and Buy site and I am always tempted. Do I love pets. Nope. Do I want a cat or ANY of the mess and responsibility that goes with it? No way. But baby animals are adorable and my kids want something so bad! But we just got new leather couches...which I've wanted for a long time...and if any pet scratched or ruined those I would not be happy.

Adorable.

They all wanted a turn to hold it. I can't lie. I was worried it had ringworm or something. Only because I once cuddled a kitten my brother brought home from work when I was 8ish or something and I got ringworm on my stomach. Eew.

Later that night we went to Cardston's "Party in the Park" and Daddy got to come! Thank you Grandpa for taking call for a couple hours. :) The kids love this mostly free party where there is a petting zoo, tons of those blow up jump houses, and a lot of their friends. Fun tradition.

I didn't love this either...scared for her fingers and face! Probably again because when I was little I "played" with the chickens and one "kissed" me...still have the scar on my lower lip. Serious! I can prove it.

Claire with the cute little calf.

Anne and Faye LOVED the sheep!
Especially Faye...see! :)

Ha ha! I'm sure it was comfy!

Cousins! And some random kid in green. I sure wish the girls would keep their hair up. I do it all cute almost every day and by afternoon its down and in their face getting all tangled. Then they complain as I brush it out again later...if you kept it up it'd be out of your face and not tangle!!

This girl would NOT get out!

That night there were fireworks. Kids were asleep and Justin was gone in the hospital...but I could see them from my house!! BONUS to our awesome house and awesome location!!

HAPPY CANADA DAY EVERYONE!!
Maybe next year I'll be a real citizen!
Gotta start that paperwork again.

June

Bedroom window view of my freshly planted flowers. You should see them now! I'll do a comparison picture in a future post. Its AWESOME!

Passed my glucose tolerance test. I was going to be good and stop eating sugar anyway just to see if I could ever have a 7 lb baby...but I didn't. : /  Here's hoping my baby isn't more than Addie was! Don't really want to push out another 9 lber. But is it worth a whole summer's food fun for those few seconds/minutes of pain? I guess we will see!!!!

Justin in his happy place. Tending the strawberries and raspberries that both gave us a great yield this year! I thought the clouds just looked amazing in this picture! They were even better in person.

I snuck away to Calgary for a night to reunite with my long lost Edmonton friends, 2 of which just moved back to Alberta after being gone for 2 and 4 years! It was SO FUN. Here's a pic of me and my buddy Cassie who was due a month before me. She let me buy the same shirt as her. :) Thanks Cass. So we had to take a twinsie pic. Nice photobomb Tarilyn.

Baby Belly bumping. Oh, and I cut bangs! Love them until they get too long and thick. Gotta stay on top of them!

We stayed up way too late eating, dancing, playing, lip syncing, and being crazy. Maren was the only one to take pictures and she posted these on Facebook! This one cracked me up so hard! Such a flattering shot of Jordana and I. ;) Love you Jordana!!!!!

And Here is what we spent the most time on...so fun! We are HAPPY!!!

And it was father's day! I am blessed with 3 of the best fathers in the world, really. I've learned so much from each of them and really admire them.

We had a lot of sister pictures in June. :) Flower girls.

Look at that admiration. :)

Doing hair. I see this as only the beginning of lots of fun for these 3 girls.

The end product. Pigtails galore!

Another day we did sponge curlers. Of course Addie wanted them too! They didn't last 'til the morning on her, but she loved being one of the girls!

We had TONS of rain mid June. The creek got so fast and so high and flooded over in areas. Here are a few shots of the floods.

Check out that RIVER. That's Lee's Creek! It is SO low now. Weird to see pictures like this and imagine that much water flowing through.
Pretty high! Right up to the bridge.

Justin and the kids and I snuck down to Echo Lake for 2 days to help get it ready for the season. Really Justin did all the work. I was SO excited to see MY FAVORITE canola fields in bloom!!!! I love the vibrant colors. I LOVE SUMMER!

And how relaxing and beautiful is this??! I love Echo Lake.
And Addie caught her first fish! You can barely see it on the end there, but we were casting and she got one! Good work Ads! :)
Mount Everett at 30 weeks!!!

The beginning of our amazing strawberries! They were seriously so delicious.

Addie thinks so! Right out of the patch. Amazing texture, not acidic or anything just soft and sweet!

And this was just the beginning. We got bucket loads like this every few days for a few weeks.

The kids were SPOILED with cousins starting at the end of June. First we had Julie and her girls come. Addie, Anne, and Faye were ADORABLE together. They are just 3 weeks apart. Addie still asks, "Where's Anne an' Faye?" She just wants to play with them! I really wish they lived closer.

All the kids lined up on the (NEW!) couch for a Family Home Evening. Robbie taught them all the 10 Commandments using each finger for the appropriate commandment. :) It was amusing.
