After the Party is Over...

Well, Right after...I mean minutes after Mom and Dad left we got dumped on for a couple days straight. I was angry and hated it. If only we had heated roads. I really hate winter driving. So, I was in a sour mood, but then I went out shoveled, and played in the snow for a bit with Zach and loved it. So here is my conclusion. It can snow, but it just needs to be warm enough to play in it. That is all I ask. Doesn't happen too often, but I keep my eye on the temperature.

Here are Zach and I shoveling. He got a shovel from Papa and MerMer for Christmas, so he shoveled away.

Being the smart mom that I am, I let Zach shovel in his normal pants, not his snow pants, well basically because I was being lazy and figured we'd be quick and he'd just be on the sidewalk. WRONG! That kid was tramping through our yard. Dumb me. He was having a great time and never complained, but by the time we got inside, he was mighty cold. This picture was PERFECT.

Nothing a fuzzy blanket, a mug of hot chocolate, and swirly straw can't fix.

Here we are the next morning. See what you missed guys?!

Pretty big drifts.

The girls enjoy hte fresh snow tracked into the house. Zach used to (and sometimes still does) enjoy doing this too. Pretty gross.

So Zach and I were supposed to decorate the tree, but apparently I was taking too long feeding the girls, so he just stood on his farm and did it by himself. A man after my own heart. Get 'er done.

The masterpiece. Minutes later we had to relocate all of the balls to the top 1/3 of the tree because of the 3 attackers. It is beautiful. Yikes.

And this is just a funny picture of Zach out at Kamry's parent's house in their dogs kennel! We went out there after Talia's baby blessing.
Talia Lee Low. She work Kamry's dress. Too cute.

Papa and Mer Mer Come to Canada!

Well, we rolled into town coming home from Cardston and went straight to the airport and picked up Papa and MerMer!!! They came up to see another lovely winter in Edmonton and to celebrate Christmas with us since we won't be making it down there this year. Luckily, they had only waited about 15 minutes until we got there. Great planning!
Zach is just happy to have them there. Lucky boy got to see all of his grandparents in less than a week!

Crazy Kate. She makes THE FUNNIEST faces.

Kara has always opened her mouth SO WIDE to eat. I love it. I don't miss that often with her.

The infamous cat door. We don't have a cat, but it works great for Zach! People are still amazed that he can fit through.

There he goes! This is such a weird, awesome picture. Pull Zach, pull! Needless to say, Grandpa didn't fit.
Papa and Kara.

We had a Family Home Evening lesson on Sharing from the Nursery Manual. (Which I HIGHLY recommend for anyone with youngens. They are great short lessons that kind of get the point across!)
Zach learned...

Justin did well...
I'm not sure Kate learned very much. We'll say she is giving it to Kara and not taking it away.
Family Home Evening Activity...Tickle Fight!!! ---Buddy the Elf.
It takes a lot of these pics...
to get one of these. I love these cuties.
Zach LOVES his 3 duckies. We meant to buy 2 extra, one for each kid, but Zach has monopolized them all and takes them EVERYWHERE with him. Even to bed. He can't sleep unless all three ducks are in his possession.

Great shot Dad! Happy, messy girls.
Kara, doing her favorite thing. Playing peek-a-boo with the drapes...and getting them all messy.
This is such a Kate pose. She walks around with her head tilted. Maybe it is too heavy. Even when she was first crawling she did this. Our little bobble head.

Gingerbread house time!!! The piping master. Gingerbread house decorating totem pole!
Delicioso! Not really. That stuff was so sugary and gluey. Yuck. I just love that Zach couldn't keep his excited eyes (and hands) off the gingerbread house long enough to take a picture! :) It's finished!! The front...

...and the back.
It was great to have Christmas early. I got the Wise men set for my nativity that I love. Thanks Santa!
MMmmmm!!! Donuts!!!
Zach and Indiana...I mean Papa enjoying Tim Horton's.
We had a DELICIOUS steak and potato Christmas dinner complete with pretzel jello salad and Justin's favorite cheese dip stuff. I love food.
Here is Stanta Claus and Mary Christmas delivering the goods!

KARA'S FIRST STEPS RECORDED!!!! You go girl!
A victory "Simba" pose after she walked.
Merry Christmas from our family to yours!
Kate was pretty excited about getting birthday presents early!

Kara was so funny with Mom's scarf! Several times throughout their trip she put it on and modeled for it. What a poser!

Two little ruffle bums racing up the stairs.

Evidence MerMer is here...on the cheek.
Sweet picture of Papa and Kate playing.
Zach helped me stuff and pin the bell on the pockets of the advent calendar I made for my friend back home and her girls.
I think it turned out pretty cute!
I don't know what it is with this kid and glasses. He ALWAYS steals people's glasses and wears them. Maybe he is trying to be like his dad at this age!
Papa, MerMer, and the Girls.
...and da boy.
Mom got her hair cut while she was here. So we had to take a picture. To bad I'm hiding her AWESOME style! She says she'll have to come back up here to get her hair cut again. OKAY!! We love you guys! Thanks for coming, and come again...when it is green, warm, and beautiful! When we can actually go outside!
