My Dad's only sibling lives outside the Toronto area in beautiful countryside along a river. We took the kids to visit him and had a great time exploring his beautiful home and property and hikes nearby. I hadn't seen my aunt in 28 years so it was great to catch up with her and really actually meet her since I don't remember too much from the time I was 3 years old. :)
Right when we arrived Uncle Bob greeted us with a trapped black squirrel. They can be aggressive so he likes to trap them and release them back in the woods to get them off of his property.
Uncle Bob is a professor at a University. He is a scientist! A Marine Biologist really, specializing in invertebrates. Here he is teaching the kids about rocks and fossils and such. Everyone needs an Uncle Bob.

Here is Addie sitting at the same age in the same spot the last time I was in Canada at Uncle Bob's home. Aunt Paula said as I sat there I found some scissors and was cutting the skirt of my dress!!! Ha ha!
If we had been there a few weeks earlier this riverside would have been lit up with golden and red leaves!

Next we went on a hike to a waterfall. The kids got to meet their second cousin Cai!

This was just adorable. Right before we left Addie was just loving on Aunt Paula. It was fun to imagine me at that age with her.
That night we rode the train downtown and took Zach to a Raptors game! It was so fun!
He mostly just whined about getting a Raptors hat most of the game, but we managed to have a great time cheering on the raptors.

Well this is a T Rex in a dinosaur themed mini golf place by Niagara Falls.

We decided to live it up and go on the boat to the falls.

And finally at the end of the week Grant tolerated Everett! Ha these boys have different personalities and I think Everett scared Grant a bit. Too much in your face for him. I was happy to see them this close and smiling by the last day!
The last few hours of our trip we spent our time at one of those expensive indoor playplaces. It was cold and rainy so it worked.

Where the heck were you when I was living near Toronto!! Bum. That would have been amazing to have you guys visit! Anywho, cute pictures. Especially that one of Everett in the rain poncho at Niagra. What a pretty area. We went many times when we lived out East. And we did the Ferris wheel for my birthday. Brings back memories! Glad you got to visit family.... even if you didn't make it out to visit me.....
