Adaleigh's Blessing Weekend

Adaleigh Jane Low was blessed on Sunday June 3. Jason and Kamry and family and Richard and Leslie and baby Benson came all the way from Edmonton to help bless her and celebrate her arrival with us! So nice of them.

Jason and the kids in the hot tub. The one time we didn't bring their suits and of course they wanted in the hot tub. Our orphan children wore shirts and undies in the hot tub. That's what they swim in in the islands anyway. Who needs a swimsuit.

Cute Kate. :)

Kamry took some sweet pictures of the star of the show, Miss Adaleigh Jane. 1 month old. A couple of highlights I remember from her blessing were the closeness she will have with the Holy Ghost and the light she will be to her family and to others. She has already been such a light in our family. She is very loved and brings a special spirit into our home.

She actually wore the dress that I wore when I was blessed. It was a sweet, long white smocked cotton dress with the cutest little scalloped-edge slip underneath.

She really is such a good, sweet baby.

Cammie and Robbie sent us this cute little Blessing Day bracelet. She loved her bling.

And her cute little silver Mary Jane's inherited from her older sisters. :) Thanks Auntie Angie!

I love them.

Mom brought up this cute bonnet. I had to take some pictures of my cute little pioneer baby. She didn't love wearing the bonnet though. Always tried to eat it.

Our little family.
FOUR KIDS?!! I have four kids! That's nuts.
The twin pregnancy really throws me off.

My kidlets. All FOUR of them?!

Us and version 4.0
Do I finally have one that may look a bit like me? We shall see...

Kamry also curled my hair that morning. :) Thanks Kams, for the pictures and the hair and the visit!!

Addie and Great Grandma and Grandpa French.

Us with Richard, Leslie, and cousin Benson...who got her hair right as the picture was being taken! That's what cousins are for, right? :)
Zach and Kate eating with Talia and NumNums. :) They love Talia so much. It was so fun to have them stay at our house and watch our kiddos play.

Jacey-pooh. Such a cute little boy. I can't believe how much he has grown up!
How's the food Dal? :) He said it was delicious. I just like this picture of Kate wiping her face. :)

Saying goodbye to the J+K Lows. (Kams, this is the ONLY picture I have of you all weekend! At least it's a good one. ;) Always behind the camera...)
WE NEED CLOSER COUSINS!
Thank you everyone who came and celebrated with us. It was a lovely weekend!!!

Justin's Birthday!

Justin turned 29 on May 31! Happy Birthday Just! The last year of your 20s...
Being that I just had a baby and have been pretty much ignoring him while he tirelessly serves me and the kids I felt like I needed to do something for him, something like I used to do B.C. (before children...). I was going to decorate his doorway like I do the kids, but didn't want to take all 4 to go get streamers (...should have just used toilet paper. Dang. Too late. Next year.) So I got some of his favorite gummy candies and tried to hang them from the doorway, but they were too heavy, so a decorated bathroom it was!!! :) As I was doing this and he was sleeping, I was wondering, "who am I doing this for?" Is it for Justin or for me. Would he be just as happy if I handed him a few bags of candy in the morning and said Happy Birthday? Probably! But would I? Nope. This is way more fulfilling to me. I feel like some effort went into it and effort+lack of sleep+ baby waking me up again hours after I finished this=true love, right?? Justin would probably say = craziness, give me the bags and sleep! I still don't think I could do it though. Hmmm. Interesting.

I used the kids' bath crayons and jazzed up the tub. :)

...and mirrors.
I also got up and made him breakfast, which wasn't really done by the time he had to leave. I tried so hard! Baby decided she needed to eat right when I was at the beginning of making it and the other kids needed something too. So I nursed while I cracked eggs 1 handed. Yep. Determined aka stubborn. It's a blessing and a curse. :) And he lovingly stayed and waited until the last minute, shoving hot food down. Luckily he wasn't even late. I hate when things don't go as I planned.
I also made him this DELICIOUS strawberry filled cake!

These kids love their daddy.

I am telling you this cake is DELICIOUS!! Someone even told me it was one of the best cakes he had ever had. It was my brother's wedding cake recipe. A beefed up cake mix really, filled with strawberries and cream cheese... So moist, dense, and delicious. I have the recipe if anyone wants it...
I don't blame him for drooling. :) It might not be so pretty, because i actually made the filling to juicy so it wouldn't hold up the 4 layers of dense cake, but a few skewers in there for support saved the day.

Finger-lickin' good.

You want some, huh?
Justin left after dinner and cake to his brother's graduation. Dallin graduated and was Valedictorian! Had to give the speech and all. Justin just went to see if his speech was better than Dallin's. :) I sat with this girl for A LONG TIME. All she had to do was swallow the bite she took. She is also determined/stubborn. Wonder where she gets that from?she once had broccoli soup in her mouth for about a half hour. She had her last bite at home, and then we had to go to the church for an event that night. She STILL hadn't swallowed!!! By the time I let her spit it out her mouth was just full of saliva and tiny broccoli pieces. Yuck.
Oh, the pain! Ha ha! I MAKE you eat delicious fajitas. Horrible mother. I finally let her spit it out. I couldn't deny her the world's most delicious cake. It was a party.

Mother's Week

I was lucky enough to have MY mom at my house on Mother's Day. We got to share the day (we look alike, eh?) . It was full of yummy food, cards, church, and gifts...a memory foam pad on my mattress!! YES PLEASE!! It was a wonderful surprise. This was also Adaleigh's first week at church. On Mother's Day. So tiny. And I felt really good! Yay for great recoveries!
It was really special to have a tiny baby on Mother's Day. I love being a mother. Especially right now to this beautiful baby. It really is a blessing. Not easy at all, in fact THE hardest thing and THE MOST work I've ever done in my life, but so rewarding in moments. Having mom around made me think a lot about how someday I will be in mom's position, helping my girls with their babies and families...crazy, crazy. I am so grateful I had such a great mom that taught me so much. I hope I can be a great mom for my children and teach them the right things. Mostly how to be nice. We are working on that one...

Got milk?? She looks shocked. Ha ha. So nasty. She did this quite often. She loves to eat, and apparently over eat! She spit up a ton of milk, like a feeding full. Then I never know what to do? Are you empty now that you puked?
 Mer Mer in action.

It makes me sad to look at these pictures since i am about a month late posting them. My tiny newborn! Those puffy eyes and empty cheeks are here no longer! She is chubbing up and still very alert and smiley. Still my sweet newborn, but growing up too fast already!

 Almost a smile! Cutie pie.

Listening to her mommy. Smart girl...

 Smiles! (13 days old)

Look at that cute little tongue and chubby cheeks.

Sisterly love. I love watching the kids with her. They are so good with her and love her so much!

We took mom to visit Cardston and she and I went to the temple. Speaking of, Mom I need the picture we took there! We also went and introduced Addie to Great Grandma Low.

The kids love to go visit her, and know EXACTLY where her candy drawer is. What can I say, I did the SAME thing as a kid. Straight to Nanny's cookie and candy jar.

Kara loving up her 3 week old sister...

And the proud big brother. He is SO cute with her. Loves her. "Hiiii cuuuutieee!!" :)

Chillaxin' in the bath. She loves them. I am so happy because she scared us at the hospital. The most reactive baby ever! You touched her or moved her and she was so angry! Screamed at you! She had her right to though. They poked and prodded her a lot. Now she is a dream.

On the way to take Mer Mer to the airport. Boo. I was trying to catch the cute moment when Zach was laying on her shoulder. So sweet. On a side note...man we almost have a FULL minivan! YIKES!!

Saying goodbye to my mama. :( I am so glad she came and played with us! I really dislike being so far away from my family. Especially my sisters and my mom. The night before my mom left I was putting Zach to bed and he asked me, "Mom, are you sad you married Daddy?" I said "No, I love daddy! Why would I be sad?" "Because he took you far away from your mom and dad."
So sensitive. He then proceeded to tell me how he was always going to live with us. We will see about that! :)

We had such a great time with Mer Mer. We are all sad to see her go.

GOODBYE MER MER!!! We love you! And MISS you!!!
Come back AGAIN!
