Crippen Reunion: BEACH DAY!

Our matchy, matchy toes.
:)
The beach we played at was on the north end of Bear Lake. It was beautiful! The sand could have used some major raking, but the kids had a blast and the water was SUPER shallow way out so they could play and play and it was warm!
Where I spent most of the day. The nursery. :)

I can't complain. The view wasn't too bad.

Kate is our mud princess. She is SUCH a water baby and loves to get wet and dirty.

The Laie Boys crafted a shade area with a big tarp. Loved their creative resourcefulness.

Addie and Cannon liked the shade area. :)

Grandma and Grandpa splurged and rented a boat and 2 Sea doos for a couple hours. FUN!

The kids found a little nest and some eggs on the beach. They made a rock wall around it and watched it all day.

Kate in her element. She LOVES water.

Me and my attractive siblings. :)
Cody, Katie, Me, Carrie, Angie, Chris

This is where some fun starts...Katie was messing around and started doing some model poses...I joined her. She thought I was doing model poses too...
...and she was right. :) Just have to expand your definition of beauty and poise. ;)

I joined in on my parent's session too. Photography session that is...
They didn't know until they saw the slide show later that night. HA!

Kara was playing with these cups and bottles all day long. That is one of the reasons I love the beach...and miss California. It is a bit of work to pack up and get there, but once you are there everyone is so entertained and having a ton of fun.Worth it!

Beach Beauty

After the beach EVERYONE was pooped out. So tired! Somehow the teenagers still found the energy to start a movie at 11:30. Willow. Great show. I slept instead. :)
8 week old Adagirl was zonked out too. All that work being cute tires a babe out!

Crippen Reunion Part 1!!!

This begins the blog post that is long overdue...like almost 2 months!!! The real reason we went to Utah was for our Crippen Family Reunion 2012

When: June 24-26, 2012
Where: This 8 bedroom cabin at Bear Lake, Idaho

With THIS view...that water looks like Hawaii!

With THESE 41 WONDERFUL PEOPLE!!! My family!!!
They came from Utah and California and us from Canada. I love them so much. So far as I know...unless they are talking  behind my back, our family is SO loving, devoted, no drama, and supportive of each other. Really no issues! And for such a big family that is quite the feat! Good job mom and dad! and yes, 27/41 are 16 years old and under.

Here are my lovely parents, Stan and Mary, the two that started it all.

The Ch-rippens
My oldest brother Chris and his wife Sherelda with (L-R) Tyler, Ryan, Jeff, David, baby Aleia, Joshua, Aubree, and Spencer.

 The Olsingchs
My sister Carrie and her husband Harvey with their kids (L-R) Kaela, Malia, Leneah, Dallin, and Michael.

The Southwicks
My sister Angie with her hubby Roy and kids (L-R) Madison, Reagan, Sydney, Cameron, Emery, and Brenna.

The Hopoates
My sister Katie with Tino and their kids Nani, Samara, Cannon, and Kea.
Us!! The yelLOWs. :)

And the newlyweds, the Co-rippens. My little bro Cody and his beautiful wife Jessica.

It was so fun to finally find a place that we could all fit under one roof! Good job finding the place Katie! Feeding that many was quite fun. And crazy!! Non stop cooking, preparing, and CLEANING! It all went pretty smoothly though.

The first night we got there we had a getting to know you game. It was kinda neat because we separated into random groups and got to hear answers to questions from different nieces and nephews and bros and sisters. With so many people it was nice to have that individual time to learn more about each other.

Kate and I during the games. Do we look alike? Do I have ONE child that looks like me????
This was the best part. It was approaching 11:00 and our game was still going on. Each person was telling EVERYONE something that they don't know about us. Kate's was, "I really want to go to bed"! HA!! I took her right to bed ans she was out. It is so hard because with all of those kids bedtimes were non existent and they all wanted to have fun and spend tons of time together. We went to bed late, woke up early, and partied hardy. More to come!!!

Good Ol' Friends. :)

While in Utah, I randomly emailed my best friend from nursing school to see if she just happened to be visiting her family in Utah...AND SHE WAS!!!!!!!!!!! I haven't seen Tifani since July 2007. I was SO THRILLED to get her message that she was in fact in town and wanted to get together!
Here we are with our new additions...Elijah and Adaleigh. They will probably date someday. :)

July 2007...Tifani and I with 3 month old Zachary and brand new tiny newborn Madeline.
Proving that 3 months makes a big difference!

And June 2012 with our not so tiny babies. :)
5 yrs makes a pretty big difference too!

Tifani Dustin...you are such an amazing person and I am SO happy we are friends and even more happy that I got to see you! You inspire me to be better! Thanks!!! I wish we were neighbors.

Our last day in Provo. We had a great time with Cammie and Robbie. They are a great couple. Thanks for letting us stay with you. I bet your house is much quieter now!!

Time to head to the reason we came!! Bear lake and the Crippen 2012 reunion!

They love Auntie Cammie and Uncle Rob. :) Thanks for having us!
