Kara came with to my violin lessons. My teacher lives on a farm/ranch. The girls all loved the horses and didn't want to leave.

Woke up to this April 26...the worst Sprinter EVER this year. Ugh...

Another of Kara's capture. No child was harmed in the taking of this picture. I just can't get over how bad it looks! She was eating popcorn and coughing at the same time I think. Looks so bad!

 

20.5 weeks?! This belly came out of nowhere. It was an iffy "Is she gaining weight or maybe pregnant?" belly for so long and then seriously BAM! I'm practically due looking. :) It feels bigger this go round, like harder to breathe and not sleeping that well early on. It is #5 I guess...and I am getting older! Almost 30?!?!

Kate did something mean to Kara...so then Kara got to tell Kate how to make it up to her. A foot massage with lotion was the answer this time. HA! Sometimes I love being the Mom, in charge, and watching my children learn lessons. And love it. :)

 

 

April 27, it snowed. A lot. I wore a black dress to church in mourning of our lost Spring. On a positive note it was the wet heavy snow we rarely get, so the kids got to roll it into big balls to make snowmen. Luckily I hadn't packed away their snow gear! 

 

 

 

Addie kept going up to the snowmen, hugging them, and saying "I wuv you Olaf!" ... And eating their raisin eyes. :)

 

 I call this "Snow Tantrum."

I forget why...either because I wouldn't come out and help or because Addie ate the eyes.

 

 

 

My little wahine...she loves this dress. It was one we got for Kate and Kara when Justin and I went to Hawaii a few years ago. Another notable thing about this picture is this is Addie's favorite place while I get ready. Any time she wants up she says "Mommy, uh up-down." Meaning pick me up and put me down on the counter. In my bathroom, in the kitchen...Up-Down. Ingenious!

Addie loves these boots, and these kitty mittens, and the jammies she is wearing actually. A few of her favorite things. Here she is appropriately dressed as she watches her favorite movie..."Frozen"!

Speaking of ingenious, she must get it from her mother. I rigged this up while we drove home from Lethbridge. Save her neck! Looks pretty comfy compared to what it was like before!

And in the same month it snows, we start soccer. This is Zach's first time playing and he is loving it so far. He is doing coach pitch baseball too and loving that even more.

  

We got to see Bama!!! She came for a visit from Edmonton. ;) The kids were all excited and miss her a lot.

Easter 2014

Of course we had to decorate! Every holiday the kids are begging to make the house festive. Gotta make it happen! So I put them to work again and they made a garland. :) I don't have pictures of it, but I made a really cute paper bunny, egg, and chick garland too with spring scrapbook paper.

 

I also tried my hand at these guys...my mom used to make them with us, and they were way cuter and not so floppy then, but the kids loved them :)



We did a couple egg hunts this year and the kids had a blast. Even Addie got to. :) This one was at the Remington Carriage center. They had a toddler one and then an older kid one. There were chocolate eggs, AND kids, EVERYWHERE! Especially during the toddler one. The older kid one there lots of kids and not so many eggs. :) Trampling.

 

Addie loved seeing all the horsies. :)

Then since there wasn't already enough candy the Easter Bunny gave Addie more! ;) It was pretty cute hearing her say "Thank you Bunny!" I was surprised she wasn't scared. Because I kinda was...

I was proud of these kiddos because I pointed out to them that some kids didn't get any and they willingly shared. Then on the way home Zach wanted to go share with his neighborhood friends that didn't go. He even let them take the bubble gum eggs which is big because he isn't a big fan of chocolate. His father's son. :) I thought that was really nice of him not to care, but to just share willingly.

Like I said...it had snowed, and it was COLD! Icy winds biting at your face. I DO NOT miss this. Does it have to come back??

A week later on Easter Saturday we hosted a block egg hunt. Justin's mom had given us a bunch of leftover Halloween candy that I wasn't really loving having in our house so we put it to good use and fed about 25 kids. We put the eggs and pencils in our backyard and in our neighbors back yard. The most amazing part of this was that before we did the egg hunt I did a little "real meaning of Easter" lesson with the kids and we watched a video from lds.org. It was about 5 minutes long and those kids were silent! It was so sweet seeing all of their little faces watch Jesus and talk about him afterward.

 

Again I was very impressed with these kids. There was a set number of eggs they could find and when I remembered afterward I didn't set a few aside for 4 kids that couldn't come that day they willingly gave up eggs and shared! Makes me HAPPY!!!

 

Adaleigh our little Easter Egg enjoying her spoils from the egg hunt. This picture makes me laugh because of the wind effect, wind squint and flying piggy tail. It was a bit breezy that morning and got INSANELY WINDY a few hours later! Good ol' Cardston.

JUST THE CUTEST PIGTAILS ON THE CUTEST LITTLE GIRL EVER! On our way to Justin's Aunt's house for Easter Dinner! So nice of her to invite us over!!!

And of course they had ANOTHER egg hunt that day at Justin's Aunt's! Spoiled kids. Too Much Sugar.

Then we went home and dyed eggs! Busy day!

Robbie and Cammie decorated eggs with us. We've loved having them live here and don't want them to leave!!!!

Even Addie was in on the fun. She loved it. It was a little stressful and messy, but we did it and she loved it.

I even made a special one for baby Sven. :) We found out a few days before that He is a HE! :) That is his nick name right now, named after the reindeer on Frozen.

Easter morning Addie was first to find her basket! Well pretty sure the kiddos found her basket for her. Life of a 4th child.

Kate was last to find hers...HA! Check out the note.

"X Bunny NO." She was pretty mad at the Easter Bunny. HA!

That is until she finally found her basket and ate sugar for breakfast. :)

Speaking of too much sugar...um, yum. And beautiful. I love trifle. I think it's pretty and delicious. Pretty delicious. This was a strawberry, blueberry, banana with angel food cake and banana pudding topped with whipped cream. Uh huh. I was in charge of dinner on Easter Sunday since Justin's mom is out of town helping with the triplets again. I don't mind being in charge and it was fun, but we had salmon. That's what the Savior first ate after he was resurrected, right? Seems fitting. And easy. Aunt Carol had made such a turkey AND ham feast the day before I couldn't imagine going through all the same trouble myself and Brian, Robbie and Cammie ate there too. Can't lie though, my favorite thing to make is the dessert. I love dessert. And this one was good.
