Horsin' Around

My friend/visiting teaching companion/girls gymnastic teacher invited the kids over to ride her horse! They were in HEAVEN! They've vowed to marry ranchers. I love living in a rural town.
Waiting their turn!

This is my handsome Zach's whistling face. He loves to whistle and is good at it. Sure sticks that bottom lip out!
Oh he's so snuggly and handsome!

Addie's BFF Andie was there with her too. They were so adorable and giggley!

This little guy is a guaranteed rancher someday! He LOVED it!!! Was laughing and bouncing the whole time.

This is us trying to pry him off. He was just holding on and whining when we were pulling him off. It was so funny!

Too cute.

Get this girl a cat.
Learning about just how much work these horses are!
I love this picture! He loved the horses so much.

Last Days of Summer Vacation

This guy turned 11 months this month!! He is such a soft, fuzzy, fun sweetheart. He is a very squirmy worm and has mastered the army crawl and moves SO fast! He doesn't care what it is he is crawling over either...cement, grass, rocks, dirt, water, carpet, hard flood, sand...Nothing phases him! He just goes and goes! His hair is finally long enough to actually move in the wind! Big accomplishment. He still LOVES food and screeches and bites his hand in the side of his mouth in excitement and frustration of me not getting it to him fast enough! He is a whopping 24 lbs now. I challenge anyone to an arm wrestle. I'll even use my left arm...the one I hold him with all day! :)

He is just too cute. Even with a dangerous choking hazard in his mouth.

Addie just wants to hold and cuddle Everett all of the time, but that is just not on his list of things he wants to do! He rarely sits still. He did here for a few seconds and I caught the end of it, but 2 seconds later he was squirming away!
Yeah, sorry Addie. Enjoy the brief moment.

Cute little bootie and tan legs.

I had to take a picture to remember this super soft peach fuzzy head. Like I said, it blows in the wind now! You can actually see he has hair! But once it gets wet it totally disappears.

Summertime is a huge family fishing season for us. And this is how we make it happen! It isn't always fun for everyone...there is a lot of whining, but life is all about the moments right? I dream of Justin and I just going on that lake for some peaceful quiet time. It is fun to have the kids too though. Good experiences for them and some good memories sometimes!
Ha ha! Everett. 5th child just has to learn to go with the flow.

Who can spy the Bald Eagle in the tree?! So cool. I've seen more Eagles in Canada than I've seen in the US! :)
Cameron Lake was GORGEOUS this night. So flat! This RARELY happens!

Justin's happy place. I think it was smoky, but look at that reflection! Hardly a ripple!
We had "Uncle Ben" with us...Justin's cousin who also loves fishing.

Justin's 3rd and 4th love...Fishing and Cameron Lake.

And his 5th love...GARDENING! And reaping the rewards! Problem is gardens produce in the summer when you just want to be playing!
Everett's first cone. I think he liked it! They have these adorable tiny cones at the store in town. Perfect kid size cones.

My kids dream day. They love getting all muddy. This is our "beach" and it actually is a pretty good one. Especially at the end of season when the mosquitoes are gone. If it's windy enough you'll even get some decent sized waves!
The lake was SO low! It was pretty fun because you could walk to that island on the other side in shin deep water.
