sNOOOOOOOOOw!

It Snowed! October 25th we got our first snow up here. Not too bad I guess. I still wasn't happy to see it though. No thanks. Not yet.

The kids were THRILLED that it snowed and it was actually warm enough to play in. I can't lie. It was fun! Luckily we had JUST bought the last finishing touches on their snowsuits, like their pants, another pair of boots and gloves for the girls! Phew...

I love this little cold face. Pink cheeks. All snuggled up. So cute.

The favorite activity of the day. EAT IT! As long as it's not yellow.

One great thing about snow is the lighting for photos! So uniform and soft.

I've decided,especially from this picture, that Kate and I have the same eye shape. Maybe one of my kids actually DOES look like me?!

I couldn't get over how cute they were in their bibs. They looked SO OLD to me now. Where did my babies go? Almost 2 in December! CRAZY!

October Happenings...

It's October! I love fall, but don't necessarily love Halloween and all it's creepy decorations, so I got some ideas from a friend and made this wreath. If that link works, it will be my first time ever linking things to my words and it was easy, YAY! Oh, yeah... so was the wreath. SO easy and pretty cheap and fun! I love it.

Not a great picture, but I was at Michael's and all their stuff was 80% off so I got the 5 pumpkins for $3! The 3 wick candle was also $3! Woo hoo. I guess that's what you get when you wait so long to decorate! SAVINGS! Anyway, I think they are cute and I feel a bit more festive now...
And not that you can really see it, but that book on the table is Harry Potter #1. I've never read it! My goal is to read ALL of them by the time the movie comes out in November. 1 month? Probably not, but wish me luck!

Kate one day was trying to get on the bike and couldn't so she asked me for help. I told her she was too little, so she said "Kawa, I nee heowp!" and Kara said "Okay...Ugggghhh...ugghhhh..." As she wrapped her arms around Kate and tried to lift. It was so cute!


HA ha haha! This girl cracks me up. She is always putting things on as necklaces and bracelets. I think that is a head band?

This has been the other favorite toy at the house. The top of the popcorn maker. They wear it as a helmet and ride around on the bikes and such.

Thanksgiving weekend!

We celebrated Canadian Thanksgiving at our house on Sunday with Justin's siblings that live close by. Always fun to get together and EAT!

The kids just chillaxin watching Toy Story (their favorite). I came upstairs and saw this site and just laughed. Kara all slouched, Kate kicked back, and Zach with shades on. What a cool dude.

BIG BOY BIKE!

Zach graduated to a big boy bike. We went to the park with Avery and her big bike and Zach was riding his tricycle. His poor little legs were going SO fast to try and keep up with her! It was hilarious. That night I found a good used bike off of Kijiji (like Craigslist). All we had to get was a helmet and a bell of course. Just like Avery's. :)

Justin commented on how it was fun to have a kid riding a bike. It IS so fun to have kids that are growing up. I love babies, but it has been really fun lately to experience new/more things with our growing kiddos. (Like a restaurant...yikes!)


Proof I was on the walk. Of course we had our stroller, but they didn't want to sit in it so I pushed the stroller and had a kid on my shoulders.

When one gets out the other has to also, of course, so Justin had Kate on his shoulders and steadied Zach at the same time. CRAZY!

GARDEN!!

This is what our garden looked like when we came back from our LONG summer trip! Isn't it beautiful?! We basically planted carrots, potatoes, onions, and zucchini in May and watered and weeded until we left in the beginning of July. Then we left it for 2 months and came back to this! Nice! We have all the rain to thank. It was a huge blessing!

This picture cracks me up. The kids can't help plant, or weed, or really even water the garden yet, but they CAN harvest because you can't really ruin a harvest! They all got dressed in grubby clothes and came to help us! I was so excited as I was dressing and remembered that I have my overalls (which are SO comfortable by the way, Authentic Oshkosh B'Gosh, and I am pretty sure I am going to wear them even if they aren't "in" anymore because i LOVE them!) Anyway, it was fun, until they got sick of it and sat in the van and watched "Finding Nemo" until it got dark.Justin digging carrots while Kara and Zach put potatoes in the boxes.

Med School Rotation in Cardston!

Three weeks after we got home Justin had a rotation scheduled in Cardston, so we went down to Cardston for 3 weeks!! We lived with his parents and had a great time!!! (We hope they did too!) It was fun to be at Grandma's house. On the days it was nice--we did get snow while we were there!--we played outside, jumped on the trampoline, went to Waterton, went to the park, visited family, and watch Dallin play volleyball!

Here we are in Waterton at the nice new playground. It was WINDY! But fun. You can see Bear's Hump in the background. At the top of that hike Justin proposed to me on his birthday 5 yrs ago.

The girls' hair got SO static-y on the trampoline!

See, her hair IS growing! You just can't see it because it is so blond it is practically transparent. Compare this to the 1st birthday picture with the balloon. She's got tons now!

Later we went for a walk in Cardston by Lee's Creek.

I LOVE this picture. Kara and Bama share this bond. Kara LOVES Bama and always wants her to hold her and be with her. She usually gets what she wants. She was so angry one time when Bama went to use the washroom and shut the door so Kara couldn't get in! How dare she!! She cried and held a grudge...for a few minutes. They are pretty cute together.

Bug hunting. My kids have this fascination with bugs. Kara showed NO FEAR going up to them and picking them up. She actually got a black beetle and picked it up. Later, she caught a grasshopper?! She is crazy. The grasshoppers were getting to quick for her, so she thought she'd step on them to slow them down. She got one that way. Whoops...

Looking for buggies. Not boogies.

I got to meet up with my friend Maria Hughes!! She JUST had a baby, her 3rd boy. She ditched me 2 years ago and moved to medicine hat so Jeff, her hubby, could do his residency out there. It was so good to see her and to talk to her about residency and how awesome it is. Yikes. Can't lie, I am a little scared. We'll see...

We visited Great Grandma and Grandpa Low (Blumblum)'s house. OF COURSE we had to play Hungry, Hungry Hippos. We can't leave until we do!
