Med Hat!

Every other month Justin has his Academic Days in Medicine Hat. He goes there with all of the other residents and they have 2 days of lectures or courses or presentations just to continue on with their book learning too. Since we are in a rural residency, they pay for the family to come with! So we went and "partied" in the hotel room while daddy was at his classes. The kids had fun eating out, going on the water slides and in the pool, and playing with their little buddy Karsten.
They really did used to sleep in the same crib! This one in fact, for about 4 months. Or less? I can't remember. All I remember is that is was cute.

See! Aw! My little ones.

Zach had his own huge bed to himself.

He was pretty happy about it. Actually, he really wanted me to come sleep with him. I don't know how the pioneers did it in those one room houses. I go crazy!!! Just go to bed!!!!! Maybe I just need to work my kids harder so they are so tired that when their heads hit the pillow they are OUT.

Just an evil picture of Kate taken by a sibling. Whenever the kids get the camera they cover the flash with their finger, making everything in the picture red. Scary!

Oh the phone...Kate liked this phone.

Little man in a BIG chair.

Silly girls.

This is Karsten, the cutest little guy ever. He is so sweet. He is the son of one of the other residents in Justin's group. Eliza (Karsten's mom and my awesome new friend!) and I hung out the whole weekend. I hope I haven't scared her away from having more children. She is due in a couple months, so she's already stuck with at least one more! :) We had a blast with them. Thanks for hangin' with us! Your weekend probably might have been a little more sane without us, but DEFINITELY not as entertaining, right? :)

I really like this shot! Some random guy saw me taking the pictures of the kids and offered to take mine. He took one, and only one. And it turned out! Maybe I should learn a lesson from him?!

I walked into the bathroom and found Kate like this. She was getting ready to go swimming! That was one thing that bothered me. They had this great pool and water slides, but I just can't do it all on my own! 3 little ones and me. It scares me. I felt sad and wished I could have grown another body.

This is also what having twins after one does...3 cute little leashes backpacks!! Growing up when I saw kids in harnesses I thought that is ridiculous! They aren't dogs! I would never do that! But now that I have 3 adventurous little ones, we have invested in 3 cute little backpacks. They like them usually and if I am out on my own I feel MUCH safer. I try not to have to use all 3 at once though...I really do feel like a dog walker...CRAZY MOM!!

Thursday night there was this DELICIOUS catered BBQ (ribs and chicken! YES PLEASE!) at the Med Hat directors house. Kara got some pictures for us! :) Anyway, it was SO nice because not only did we get dinner, but since there were several kids there the director had arranged babysitters while we were there! Smart man! We mingled a bit, but I hung out with the kiddos most of the time anyway because I felt a little out of place and there were too many kids for the 2 babysitters to watch anyway!

He even had a putting green at his house. Whoa!

Look at that form!

And look at THAT form! :) Oh Kate. We love that you dance to the beat of your own drum...or however that saying goes...

Justin and all his resident buddies in their new shnazzy RAS jackets.

This is the babysitter Zach chose for most of the night...um...yep! He loved the cork popper outer.

The girls checking out the amazing view...McDONALD'S! Playplace and all right across the street. Paradise.

On our way upstairs to pack up and check out of the hotel. Behind the kiddos you can see the pools and water slides. Fun fun!

Zach the Viking. He loves "How to train your dragon, so he loved this viking...
Luckily Eliza had friends in Medicine Hat that we could hang out with. I got to meet Jen and her little girl. They were so awesome! I knew they would be as they rode up together on their little moped. What a lucky little girl to have such a cool mom! So from checkout time until the guys were done at 5 we hung out with Jen and Callie at the park, Costco for lunch, and then their house where we played Wii and ate snow cones. Could a day get any better?! Thanks for saving our day Jen!

Kate looks more like some kind of cattle in this one. Nice horns Kate!

I love that you met Jenn! She was one of my best buddies in my YSA days and we still hang out whenever she comes to visit. She's awesome. And "cool Mom" would most certianly describe her! I'm also glad you and Eliza are hanging out too. She is so cool. Lucky you! If you can't have me then I guess you can have them! I miss you and I'm so glad that you keep up with posting so I can stalk you and miss you even more.

So fun! Jenn was here last week and she told me that she met you. I was like, wha?!! That's so cool. I've never been to Medicine Hat, looks like fun. My kids love staying at hotels too, it's hilarious!
