Balboa Island

This is Balboa Island, California. If you are in Southern California and have time, GO THERE! It is such a cute little place to walk around. We used to go there every Thanksgiving we could, but they the owner of the place we rented retired and lived there full time. Darn. It is such a quaint little man made island with cute shops, GORGEOUS multi-million dollar houses and boats, and nice people. You can walk around it. There is also a ferry that takes you (and your bike or car) across the bay to Newport Beach. THAT is where my parents first met. The ferry that is. He was the ferry captain, she was a passenger. He thought she was cute, gave her a free ride, and they all lived happily ever after. We love Balboa and try to go there every trip home.
Isn't it just quaint?

Throwing sand in the water was the favorite game of the day.

Zach showing his muscles and his mussel.

"Helping" Papa.

Trying on Papa's hat.

This picture just cracks me up. Kate just strutting her stuff up the beach.
